This Sensor Information System (SIMS) architecture was developed to integrate all of McQ products around a global Internet Protocol (IP) network framework. SIMS provides a network architecture connecting through the worldwide IP network via satellite communications, cell phone networks, cloud database facilities, commercial wireless and cabled networks, and a custom Terrestrial Network (TNet) developed for our sensors. McQ developed the enabling protocol to allow sensors to talk through many network layers to users to provide guaranteed information delivery. The sensor protocol we developed is called Common Data Interchange Format (CDIF) that provides an extensible binary serial formated data structure for all forms of sensor information and imagery. This structure ties the sensor data to database software, serial network transport protocols, to user interface display software, to system management and command and control software, and to large scale multi system integration software.
McQ has built onto this Information Technology platform a Video Transport system called vWatch® that processes video and controls the delivery of the video to the user. vWatch® controls the video data rate through frame control, image compression, and image resolution. vWatch® will deliver video through communications channels that may have limited and variable data rates without compromising the quality of the video. McQ also provides software called OmniPush that disseminates sensor and video data through XML files to other systems over any available network. This allows McQ to easily integrate with other user interface systems over a network to enable these Common Operating Picture (COP) systems to display McQ sensor and video information. McQ has developed complex user interface systems that provide map based information displays, as well as, command and control capabilities. These user interface systems include large addressable SQL databases, GIS mapping, Web service, Communications Management, and information security management including encryption. The McQ server based Situation Awareness Display (SAD), the Tactical SAD (TacSAD), and the TacSAD Android Mobile (TAM) user interface systems display McQ information. McQ has developed a novel rTrust™ Information Assurance (IA) set of capabilities that are designed to secure information as it moves through any network or is stored in a database.
